You aren't sure if you'll have time.
You can spend as little as an hour a week on this class. For those who want to spend more time, we provide a ton of extra lessons, but these are optional. Also, with school being such a busy time, writing can be really great for self-care.
-
You're not sure if your manuscript or story is good enough.
I’ve experienced huge doses of perfectionism and self-doubt, but I also know the antidote. EVERYONE has the ability to learn to write amazing stories, and I can show you how and make it fun!
-
You want writing instruction that is the same quality as an in-person class, but you don't want to leave the house.
These high-def pre-recorded videos and live-Zoom sessions are easier to see than any in-person demonstration! Also, thanks to technology, Miss Meg can even draw on a screenshot of your picture to help you make adjustments to your photo if needed. Voice recording feedback via text and live feedback over Zoom make it feel like she is in the room helping you!
-
You have already tried online classes and you are feeling the Zoom-burnout.
If you prefer to skip the live Zoom sessions, you can just do the pre-recorded lessons. Students love being able to pause, rewind, and watch the videos whenever is convenient.
We are currently offering both live-Zoom and pre-recorded classes for the price of one, sort of like a buy one get one free deal.
I've helped countless students transform from getting over writer's block to creating their first draft for their Short Story, Fanfiction, or Novel!
Meet Carlee Zale! She is one of our published authors from our Creative Writing classes!

Maddie Hills is trying to put on a play, but someone is mysteriously ruining it. Lilly Sands is asked to figure out who it is, but it can be hard piecing together clues. Will Lilly be able to capture the criminal before it's too late? Here's the Link!

What makes this class different?
Creative writing includes everything you need to reach truly remarkable
levels of success in taking pictures:
-
Learn to write a novel or short stories! Craft a spellbinding plot, invent dynamic characters, and participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) as you write your original story, novel, or fanfiction.
-
Pre-recorded video lessons with a PDF workbook is provided, a free but amazing resource.
-
In this flex class, there are no live meetings, so you can learn anytime, anywhere, on your own schedule within the 18 week period.
-
Recieve unlimited Q&A and support from a published author.
-
Kacie Iuvara, published author and Megapixels-Certified Instructor will give feedback on the first one thousand (1,000) words of your writing and will answer all your questions. Please expect a 24 hour response time during business hours. This response might come as written feedback or your instructor might create a video to give you feedback.
-
After this class, students can sign up for part two, where they will polish, edit, illustrate, and self-publish their writing on Amazon (optional).
-
Peer feedback is given in an encouraging sandwich format. What does this mean? Say something you like about the writing, then give an idea of how to make it better, then say one more thing you like about it.
-
Students spend the first few weeks planning their novel and on short writing assignments, which are optional. The latter part of the semester is spent writing their first draft.
-
The class size is limited to no more than 8 students so that everyone will be comfortable sharing portions of their writing to receive help and encouraging feedback from the instructor.
-
Students are encouraged to post part of their work they need feedback on inside the classroom since most often, the feedback one learner receives will also apply to the other students.
-
Students are also free to post their questions inside the classroom so the answers are shared with other students as well.

Our daughter is having fun and learning!
"I always knew our daughter was creative/talented. I just couldn't figure out how to get that on paper. Ms. Navarro did just that! Not only is our daughter excelling in her artistic abilities, but she is having fun AND learning. I look forward to viewing her weekly creations and hearing about the benefits of the different "tools" she uses in class."
